The new Duster from Renault brings quite a few updates to make it look fresher in the market. It looks fresher compared to its current iteration. The Duster surely needed the updates to make it stand out from the crowd given that EcoSport has put a slight dent in the sales of the Duster and the Terrano from Nissan doesn't seem to be helping in improving the sales numbers for Renault India. Nevertheless, let's take a look at the features on the new Duster and see what it brings to the table. It brings slightly revamped interiors with a revised center console and a new layout for the instrument cluster. There are a few minor changes to improve the interior ambience. The interior space and comfort levels are expected to remain unchanged in the new Duster. Renault has no plans at present to change the mechanical components on the new Duster. It will continue with the current engine line-up. The exteriors of the Duster get are refreshed and it gets new grille and headlamps that give it a fresher and sportier look. The current engine options in India is a 1.6 liter petrol engine producing 103 Bhp of power while the diesel engine variant is available in two different state of tune. The 1.5 liter diesel engine produces 85Ps of power in the RxE variant while the RxZ variant makes 110 PS of power. The diesel engine is currently the more frugal and provides a good combination of perfomrance and fuel economy. The handling capabilities are expected to remain the same and this has always been the strong point for the Duster. It's car like qualities has been much appreciated. What remains to be seen is the price at which the new Duster will be launched in the country. We expect it to be launched sometime soon in India as the current sales have started to plung due to the launch of the EcoSport. The new Duster will be ample cabin space along with 475 litres storage area in the boot. It will continue to bring airbags for safety along with ESC - Electronic Stability Control and ABS with Emergency Brake Assist. ABS will come as standard on all variants of the Duster.
